I’m Karthik Vinod, 25-years old, originally from Kochi, India, but raised in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Writing is a means for me to understand the world, and my own opinions about them. Journalism offers me such an avenue to pursue my interests, probing human affairs across the range.

This website is regularly updated wtih all of my latest published work; curated as such to show my news feature pieces and commentaries.

I’ve reported on community action on campus, proceedings at a pedagogical conference, scientific research, and captivating stories linking up the science and arts. I’ve traded several hats to pursue journalism; having dabbled in physics and the intersection of science and society at university.

In February 2024, I co-founded and run EdPublica, a science and educational multimedia platform, based in my hometown Kerala. Since August 2025, I’ve left my editorial role there to pursue an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
