Karthik Vinod is a graduate student at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. He reports on science, education and public health.

Previously, Karthik interned with The Hindu, a national newspaper of record in India. Last year, he co-founded EdPublica, a science and educational news platform.

Karthik has master’s degrees in physics and astronomy, and science and technology studies.

    As Pragyan travelled around 100 m from the lander over two weeks, it occasionally stopped to observe moon dust with its instruments. And it laid unbare evidence of an ancient magma ocean on the surface.
